Andrew Whitworth is regarded by many as one of the modern greats and one of the best football offensive tackle ever to play in the National Football League (NFL) and is currently retired. He was born on 12 December,1981 in Monroe, Louisiana. He played college football for the Louisiana State University and his 52 career starts from 2002–2005 rank second in NCAA Division-I history behind Derrick Strait of Oklahoma. He earned All-South-Eastern Conference first-team honors in each of his last two seasons, including a consensus nod as a senior. He was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2006 Draft. He played for the Cincinnati Bengals between 2006 and 2017. In 2017, Whitworth signed a three-year contract with the Los Angeles Rams and in his first season, Whitworth made it to his fourth Pro Bowl. He was ranked 87th by his peers on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2018. He has also been a part of Second-team All-Pro in 2014 and been inducted to the Pro Bowl four times. He also received the First-team All-Pro in 2015 and 2017.

He holds the records for the oldest offensive lineman to play and also win in the Super Bowl. He also holds the record for the oldest tackle to play in a game. Whitworth was named the 2021 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year at the 11th Annual NFL Honors. Whitworth won his first Super Bowl in in his final game of his career, where he faced his former team, the Cincinnati Bengals, and defeated them 23–20 in Super Bowl LVI. Andrew Whitworth wore the #77 jersey number for all the teams he played for.

NFL Debut

Andrew Whitworth was picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2006 NFL Draft. He started his NFL career on September 10, 2006 in the special game against the Kansas City. He started at left guard the next week against the Cleveland Browns, as part of a line shuffle where left guard Eric Steinbach replaced injured Levi Jones at left tackle. Whitworth helped the Bengals pile up 481 yards against Browns, including 145 rushing yards by Rudi Johnson. He was in the starting lineup in place of Carson Palmer. He also had a key block on Rudi Johnson’s seven-yard touchdown run in first quarter.

She studied in the Ruston High School and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2003 and obtained Masters in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Louisiana Tech. In 1998, She also won the Miss Teen Louisiana and in 2000, she was one of the contestants at the Miss National Sweetheart. Failing to win, she participated again in the latter year and won. She also won the 2003 Miss Louisiana pageant. She was also awarded with the mirrorball trophy of the Cincinnati version of Dancing With the Stars in 2016. In 2020, Melissa donated $50,000 to The Serving Spoon in Inglewood during the covid pandemic. Andrew Whitworth and Melissa Whitworth have four kids at the moment.
