The New Orleans Saints will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Caesars Superdome for an NFL game on Sunday. The Saints have a record of 1-0 and come into this game on the back of a close 27-26 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Quarterback Jameis Winston passed for 269 yards and had two touchdown passes while completing 23 of his 34 passes. Wide receiver Michael Thomas ran for 57 yards and scored two touchdowns while Taysom Hill rushed for 81 yards and recorded one touchdown.
After the game, New Orleans coach Dennis Allen spoke to the media and said, “I hope they’re not all like that. Look, our team is tough and gritty. That’s what I love about ’em. That’s exactly the way they played in this game. It wasn’t perfect. We’ve got a ton of things to clean up.”
On the other hand, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers come into this game on the back of a 19-3 win over the Dallas Cowboys and sit in second place on the NFC South table. Star quarterback Tom Brady passed for 212 yards and had one touchdown pass and one interception as he completed 18 of his 27 passes. Mike Evans ran for 71 yards and recorded one touchdown while placekicker Ryan Succop scored 13 points while converting four of his five kicks.
After the game, veteran Tom Brady spoke and said, “I always play the game for my team, my teammates and the organization. Just being around them is something I always enjoy. It keeps me very grounded, very humble. I feel like just one of the guys. Not many places where I can go where I feel like just one of the guys, but the locker room is definitely one of those places.”
