On Sunday, 12 February, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will meet as the champions of the AFC and NFC to battle it out for the NFL’s greatest prize: the Super Bowl. Both teams topped their respective conferences during the regular season with records of 14-3, making Super Bowl LVII supremely fitting.

The Chiefs come into the game having dispatched their bogey team, the Cincinnati Bengals, handily in their conference championship game, despite quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffering from a high-ankle sprain throughout. Philadelphia, on the other hand, scored four running touchdowns against the best rush defence in the NFL, the San Francisco 49ers, while holding them to a single score.

With both teams fully deserving of their places at Super Bowl LVII, we preview this incredibly close contest, including the team injuries of the week, who the favourites are, and where you can watch the action.

Injury Report

Over the bye week between the conference championships and this now Super Bowl Week, both teams revealed that many players were being rested due to injuries or just for general upkeep before the big game. However, the Chiefs were significantly more injured than the Eagles, with five players being classed as at least questionable.

As reported in the Opening Night update by SI, there were some reasons for optimism for the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes relayed that his ankle’s feeling better than when he picked apart the Bengals in the last round; L’Jarius Sneed is reportedly out of concussion protocol now; and Kadarius Toney was close to training last week and intends to play at Super Bowl LVII.

However, wide receiver Mecole Hardman was placed on the injured reserve, and there are still question marks around Willie Gay Jr. and JuJu Smith-Schuster. In one bright spot for Kansas City, running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire was activated, but Isiah Pacheco has long since owned his former starting role.

Super Bowl LVII Kick-off Time and Location

Super Bowl LVII between the Chiefs and the Eagles has its kick-off set for 16:30 MST (UTC-7), which will be 23:30 in the UK and 5:00 in India (IST). The game is being hosted by State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, which is the usual home of the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC.

Chiefs vs Eagles Favourites

This is a very close game to call, with superstars on both sides of the ball in every situation that could present itself to the Chiefs or the Eagles. However, the bookmakers are leaning slightly towards the Philadelphia Eagles in the odds. At 4/5 the Eagles are preferred on the money line and get odds of 10/11 on the -1.5 spread betting lines.

Still, this is only a marginal siding with Philadelphia, as the Chiefs certainly aren’t massive underdogs. In fact, the odds for the best Super Bowl on Bodog betting see Kansas City as only 18/19 underdogs and draw in at 10/11 for the +1.5 spread. They’re certainly not counted out yet.

Among the popular Player Performance Doubles, AJ Brown to score one or more touchdowns and Philadelphia to score is getting snapped up at 24/11. Those seeing Mahomes and Travis Kelce remaining an unstoppable duo are looking to Kelce to get 100 or more receiving yards and the Chiefs to win at 23/7.

Where to Watch Super Bowl LVII

In the US, Super Bowl LVII will be broadcast live on FOX and the FOX Sports app. FOX is available as a cable channel, but it can also be accessed through the streaming services FuboTV, Sling TV, and Hulu+. Kick-off is at 16:30 MST, but programming for the Super Bowl will be on throughout the day. Rihanna’s halftime show will likely take place sometime between 18:30 and 19:30 MST.

Chiefs vs Eagles concludes this thrilling NFL season, and with the odds stacked as they are, it’s anyone’s guess which team will emerge as the new Super Bowl champions.
