The Baltimore Ravens will take on the Miami Dolphins at the M&T Bank Stadium for an NFL game on Sunday. The Ravens have an overall season record of 1-0 and come into this game on the back of a 24-9 win over the New York Jets in the last game. Lamar Jackson played well as he completed 17 of his 30 passes and passed for 213 yards with three touchdown passes and one interception. Devin Duvernay ran for 54 yards and recorded two touchdowns while Rashod Bateman ran for 59 yards and scored one touchdown.
Despite reports coming out that Lamar Jackson had turned down a five-year extension offer worth more than $250 million, there was no indication that his coach was flustered and went on to praise his star quarterback. After the game, coach John Harbaugh said, “He played a patient, veteran quarterback game. He was in control of everything.”
On the other hand, the Miami Dolphins stand at 1-0 for the season and sit at the top of the AFC East table after defeating the New England Patriots 20-7 in their first game of the season. Tua Tagovailoa completed 23 of his 33 passes and passed for 270 yards and had one touchdown pass. Jaylen Waddle ran for 69 yards and recorded one touchdown while Jason Sanders recorded eight points and completed two field goals successfully.
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel was full of praise for his team and said after the game, “I told the team last night, ‘This is still the defense’s team until proven otherwise. And they valued that. That was important to them when they heard that. They wanted to prove me right, and they sure did.”
