The news will no doubt disappoint fans in the Bay Area but the good news is that Curry doesn't have a fracture.
All-Star point guard and Golden State Warriors talisman Stephen Curry, has sustained an ankle injury in the match against the Boston Celtics. Curry was fouled by Marcus Smart who was then reprimanded by Warriors coach Steve Kerr.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Curry will be sidelined indefinitely. That will come as a bitter blow to Warriors fans who were gearing up to see the likes of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green on the court together after a very long time.
Charania tweeted, “Warriors star Stephen Curry has been diagnosed with a sprained ligament in left foot that will sideline him indefinitely. X-rays on the foot returned negative Wednesday night – meaning no fracture or major damage, a sigh of relief.”

The news will no doubt disappoint fans in the Bay Area but the good news is that Curry doesn’t have a fracture. However, the timeline remains unknown for now. Coach Steve Kerr will hope that his side will do well even if his superstar guard does not return when the playoffs start.
Klay Thompson himself is returning from a long layoff and it was Curry who was backpacking the team in terms of scoring. Curry is averaging almost 25 points per game and is shooting over 40% from the field and from the 3 point line. He has recorded 12 double-doubles and two triple-doubles this term.
Curry will look to come back soon and be fit in time to add a fourth title to his name in the postseason.
