The ongoing struggle for the Philadelphia 76ers persists as they endeavor to secure victories in the absence of their reigning Most Valuable Player, Joel Embiid. The task ahead is undeniably formidable. With a record of 4-12 in games played without Embiid, the Sixers are set to face the Atlanta Hawks at home on Friday.

Philadelphia’s recent performance has been marked by a disappointing streak, losing three consecutive games and seven out of their last eight, culminating in a lackluster 127-104 defeat against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday.

In a silver lining, Ricky Council IV achieved a career-high of 17 points for the Sixers, while Kenyon Martin Jr. contributed 15 points. However, Tobias Harris and All-Star Tyrese Maxey only managed to combine for 25 points, despite Maxey’s questionable status due to illness.

In this game, six players reached double-digit scoring, with Saddiq Bey leading the charge with 25 points. Trae Young, recently named as an All-Star replacement, contributed 20 points and 10 assists to the effort.
