Jalen Brunson, the All-Star guard for the New York Knicks, has torn up the Atlanta Hawks twice already this season. But here’s the kicker: the Knicks might be missing their main man on Tuesday as they try to complete the season sweep against the Hawks in New York. Brunson is questionable for the game due to a left knee contusion.

Brunson got hurt right at the start of New York’s win against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, just a minute into the game. At first, they weren’t sure if he could come back, listing him as questionable during the second quarter. But by the second half, it was clear he wouldn’t be returning for the rest of the game.

Without Brunson on Sunday, Donte DiVincenzo and Josh Hart really came through for the Knicks. DiVincenzo nailed six 3-pointers and put up 28 points, stealing the spotlight. Meanwhile, Hart had a killer game too, racking up 13 points along with a whopping 19 rebounds and 10 assists. They definitely stepped up big time!

Injury report

For the Knicks, Anunoby (elbow injury), Randle (shoulder injury), and Robinson (ankle injury) will not be playing the game. Besides, Washington is questionable for the game. As for the Hawks, Young will sit this one out due to a finger injury and Gueye is questionable for the game.

Key matchups

The Knicks are missing OG Anunoby (who had right elbow surgery), Julius Randle (dealing with a right shoulder issue), and Mitchell Robinson (recovering from ankle surgery). They’re all out indefinitely.

But you know what? Atlanta probably isn’t too bothered by the Knicks’ injury problems. I mean, they’re dealing with their own situation – Trae Young is sidelined for at least four weeks after having surgery on his pinkie injury.

The Hawks are now 2-2 without Young, having lost two games in a row to the Brooklyn Nets to start their three-game road trip. Dejounte Murray didn’t let up after scoring 28 points in Atlanta’s 124-97 loss to Brooklyn on Thursday. He came back strong with 20 points, 11 assists, and six rebounds in the Hawks’ 114-102 defeat on Saturday.

Atlanta had a small lead at halftime during Saturday’s game, but things went downhill in the second half as they were outscored 54-40, and they couldn’t hold onto their lead.
