Ray (25-13) needed a first-round finish to secure a playoff place, but he was halted by Collard. “Braveheart” came to Instagram to announce his retirement from boxing and his intention to continue instructing.

Stevie Ray leaves the sport after losing three consecutive fights for the first time in his career. The 33-year-old advanced to the 2022 PFL lightweight final after defeating former UFC champion Anthony Pettis in back-to-back fights but was knocked out by Olivier Aubin-Mercier.
Ray, a former Cage Warriors champion and former UFC fighter, with significant victories against Anthony Pettis, Michael Johnson, Joe Lauzon, and Ross Pearson.
