Apple has secured a deal to buy an unnamed Formula One racing film starring Brad Pitt and directed by Top Gun: Maverick filmmaker Joseph Kosinski, with Sir Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula One world champion, as one of the producers. Lewis Hamilton who is currently struggling in Formula One to win races with the uncompetitive Mercedes car is not new to the big screen. The Briton is currently sixth in the 2022 drivers standings with 50 points.

The Movie

The movie will be written by Ehren Kruger and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman of Jerry Bruckheimer Films, and Pitt’s Plan B banner, along with Hamilton. Brad Pitt will star in the F1 drama as the lead protagonist. This, in fact, is not Hamilton’s first brush with Hollywood, having already made his debut back in 2011. The 37-year-old’s first foray into cinema came with Disney Pixar’s Cars 2.

No early Retirement for Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton recently declined the rumors of him quitting the sport early. “Why should I stop ? I probably won’t win the title, but I feel the same pleasure of competing as when I started. Maybe one day I won’t be able to take the pressure anymore, I’ll be tired, but that day hasn’t come yet. I know that work is going on tirelessly in the factory to make progress with the car. And I have no doubt we will get it right sooner or later.” expressed Hamilton.

The uncompetitive W13

“I hope by the time we get to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone we will have the car as we want it, to be able to fight Ferrari and Red Bull. It would be nice to give them a run for their money. I know that work is going on tirelessly in the factory to make progress with the car. And I have no doubt we will get it right sooner or later.” Revealed Hamilton who is unhappy with the car’s performance this season.

Azerbaijan Grand Prix is all set to be the next race in the F1 calendar and will be held at the Baku city circuit on 12 June.
