Umemiya, Tomiyama, Togame, and the rest of the group connect over food and easy conversation after the epic battle ends. Tomiyama, however, couldn’t help but bombard Umemiya with questions regarding how he managed to find joy in everything, even though he was at the top and faced all the pressures that come with it.
Finally, he lets his guard down and admits that he has a generally optimistic view on life. In addition, Umemiya claims that his ascent to the top was not an isolated event. Looking across at Sakura, he continued by saying that he couldn’t have achieved his accomplishment without the people who had a hand in it.
At Kotoha Tachibana’s Cafe, Sakura and Umemiya have a later, more private bonding time. During their conversation, Sakura admits that he needs to defeat Umemiya in order to become Furin’s leader. Expect Umemiya’s words to hit home for Sakura in the next episode as she takes into account the fact that he needs the help of others to become Furin’s number one.
