Yuta vs Sukuna in JJK 263 spoilers

As a first step, Yuta uses a technique he picked up from Gojo—reducing the size of his Domain Expansion—to set things in motion. As it turns out, they did practice soul trading, and Yuta was well-prepared.

There is a three-minute timer to Sukuna’s domain, therefore he was genuinely expecting to outlast it. But Sukuna minimizes his own area as well, so there’s no time restriction on him and he can devote himself fully to Yuta. Because Yuta believes Gojo’s invulnerability would be useful, he tries to fight back.

By employing Domain Amplification, Sukuna is able to bypass Gojo’s normal defenses and land direct hits on Yuta. The conflict was brief, lasting barely seven pages.

As the story comes to a close, we see Yuta’s spirit companion Rika comforting his lifeless body. Once Yuta’s time to control Gojo’s body ends, we will never know for sure if he truly disappeared.

Despite Rika’s full manifestation five minutes after Yuta’s death, some fans continue to assume that Yuta is still inside Gojo’s body as we never saw what happened to his body. In JJK 263, we will learn the truth.
