Season two of MW2 is in full swing and the mid-season update is expected to arrive in mid-March. With the current schedule, it looks like a double XP weekend will arrive the weekend before the midseason update, which will add some new content to the game. In the unlikely event that you’re familiar and are reading this, a Double XP Weekend is often just what it sounds like – for this period, players will earn double the normal amount of XP they’d earn in-game – for weapons. Now, Raven Software has revealed via the game’s Trello board that it is scheduling the first Double XP Weekend of Season 2 from March 10 to March 13, 2023. Once again, PlayStation owners will have the opportunity of 24 additional hours with their special Double XP Bonus Day March 9 – March 10, 2023. Prior to this, the most recent Double XP weekend didn’t actually take place on a weekend. Instead, the development teams activated double XP for the last two days of the season to let players complete their Battle Pass.

There’s no better time to grind the prestige ranks than during the Double XP weekend. So save up those double XP tokens and get ready to hop online with a squad to grind on everything from MW2 multiplayer to Warzone 2 to the DMZ. More official information about season two should be coming very soon, so stay tuned to the official COD social channels for confirmation of what players can expect in the current iteration of the franchise.

How To Redeem Double XP Tokens In MW2:

First, make sure you’ve redeemed your codes to get your Double XP tokens. There are several ways to do this, and they depend on how you earned your token. If you get them from playing the campaign, there’s very little you need to do as they should already be linked to your account in multiplayer. Obviously, make sure you’re using the one you completed the campaign with.

With the DMZ now launched, you can now earn double XP tokens by performing specific DMZ missions before exiting the mode. Of course, the Battle Pass will also have XP tokens for the entire pass.
