Worldle is a geography-based game in which players must guess the name of a country or territory in six chances.
First came Wordle, that took the world by storm, and then came something for all Geography lovers– Wordle country related geography game. It not only challenges the people to guess the country, it also take people who are not versed with geography that well on a guessing ride.
Is it Worldle or Wordle? Everyone is perplexed by the difference between these two sports. Whereas Wordle is a five-letter game in which players must guess the name of a country or territory in six chances, Worldle is a geography-based game in which players must guess the name of a country or territory in six chances. On the basis of the indicated shape, a guess is produced.
After getting some inspiration from Wordle itself, Antoine Teuf, a 31-year-old Web and video game developer, introduced Worldle. After being asked a million times why he chose the name ‘Worldle,’ Antoine Teuf emphasised that it is not intended to be confused with the term ‘Wordle,’ but rather a compliment to it.
The game Worldle is only played once a day. If a user makes an incorrect guess, Worldle displays the wrong guess’s direction and distance from the correct country on the map.
When a user clicks on the website link, an outline of the country torn from the map appears immediately. A user will have six chances to guess, which will be provided in the form of a drop-down menu. A user will make a guess after selecting his input from the menu.
Following each incorrect guess, a new hint appears on the screen. Worldle tells you how far your guess is from the correct country or region by displaying yellow or grey hues on incorrect guesses and green on accurate guesses.
