Valorant’s next new agent is said to be introduced later in Episode 5. In this article, we will discuss everything from their leaked codename to their abilities. Let’s dive into the details.

A plethora of new characters have been introduced since the game officially came out in June 2020. Fade, a Radiant Initiator, is the latest addition but there’s another character ready to steal her thunder, as Agent 21 should be joining the game later this year.

Valorant Agent 21’s leaked codename

According to a report from ValorLeaks, Agent 21’s codename is Mage. This term has a direct connections to Riot Games’ other gaming titles and might indicate another crossover between the two titles.

It’s currently unknown just how far the LoL influence might continue for, but considering the fact that magic is a prominent in Valorant’s ability system, it won’t be a surprise to see another Agent using its forces like Omen.

Valorant Agent 21 expected abilities

It’s still too early to certainly say anything, but given that Astra was the last Controller that was added to the roster, it might be the right time to add another Controller to the game.

In that case, then similar to Brimstone or Viper, the new character will likely come with smokes for a team and be in charge of performing pesky sightlines.

Controllers also usually come with one utility ability, like a Stim Beacon or an Omen TP, but considering the size of the range, it’s difficult to tell what the magical mystery Agent will bring.

Valorant Agent 21 release window

Based on previous release schedules, the new arrival likely won’t arrive until Episode 5 Act 2 releases. It is expected to release sometime in August this year. This will provide players with a lot of time to adjust to the new Pearl map before they get to deal with another character and stealing their RR.
