Episode 21 of Undead Unluck’s first season features Anno transferring Fuko’s soul to Andy’s books via the Soul Caliber Artifact. Anno thinks this is a great way for Fuko and Andy to learn more about themselves and one another. After Fuko lands in the American West, Andy intervenes to protect her from a violent cowboy. They all go to a saloon to talk about it more: She, Sanders, Red, Andy, and Josh.
In an effort to win Andy’s trust, Fuko reveals her desire to join his crew. Then Andy gives Fuko a gun and orders her to shoot herself. To everyone’s surprise, Fuko agrees. Out of nowhere, a group of cowboys storm into the room and open fire on Andy and his companions. The confrontation results in the deaths of Red, Josh, and Sanders.
Andy murders the cowboys by using Sanders’s firearms. Andy, Fuko, and Red lay Sanders, Josh, and Red to rest. She wants to make amends for her actions, so Andy approaches the saloon worker. After she accepts Andy’s beer, he tells her she must annually pour it on the graves of his friends. His friends will finally be able to forgive her if she does this.
A montage of their travels together follows after Andy takes Fuko into his crew. Fuko thinks back on the number of friends they made and lost during their adventures on this occasion. Following a hilarious exchange between Fuko and a few recruits, Fuko pays Andy a visit outside. Fuko offers a humorous perspective on death, and the two of them talk about it.
Andy shares his earliest recollection with Fuko, grinning widely. Fuko eventually disappears, but not before giving Andy some insight into their future together. Once that happens, Fuko ends up outside a building. Ahead of the episode’s conclusion, the showrunners let viewers know that Fuko has finally reached the location Andy mentioned in relation to his first memory.
