Yuri means “lover” in Japanese. This subgenre of anime centers on the sex dynamics between female protagonists. Love, clever banter, and occasionally hot romance moments abound in the Yuri anime series. Two women engage in a passionate love affair in Yuri anime. 1. Citrus

Two main characters, Yuzu and Karin, go through a lot of growth in this series. Their relationship begins with hostility, but as they get to know each other, they learn to coexist. When Yuzu discovers she is falling in love with her new sibling, everything becomes murky.

2. Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid is one of the best from Top 10 Yuri Anime

A girl named Mamori, whose unlucky last name is “Virgin” (or “Mamori” depending on your translation), is the protagonist of the novel. Her awful name is a common target of schoolyard bullying, but she’ll soon have to adapt to new forms of harassment. After waking up, Mamori learns that she is on an island and that her captors are attacking. Thankfully, Mirei shows up right on time and kisses Mamori to reveal her transformation powers. As a result, she becomes a redhead with extraordinary abilities.

3. Cannan

The Oosawa island Maria is a Chinese photographer. While she and her companion Mino are looking into some weird goings-on during a festival, they become entangled in a confrontation between two guys in masks and a woman with white hair. An old enemy shows up to aid Maria, but she quickly learns that this individual is the driving force behind everything that’s happening to her, further adding to the mystery. After Canaan and Maria find a virus and realize their past is catching up with them, they both want answers more than ever.

Hotaru and Yuma are best friends and both of them have dated guys. But they’re cheating on each other behind their backs. Yuma begins to suspect that Hotaru and her affections go beyond that of best friends.

5. Blue Drop: Tenshitachi no Gikyoku

The tragedy that befell Mari Wakatake in Blue Drop: Tenshitachi no Gikyoku wiped away the entire population of Kamioki Island and rendered the protagonist amnestic.

Mari grudgingly enrolled in the Kaihou Academy, a secluded all-girls institution far from any other influence. Despite the seeming peace, Mari is unaware that someone is observing her covertly, patiently waiting for her memory to regain normalcy. After the fact, we find out that Mari might not have been the sole human to escape Kamioki Island, although it’s possible that she was. An intruder at Kaihou Academy is a “thing” that takes the form of a girl.

6. Yuru Yuri 

Yuru Yuri follows the life of Akari Akaza as she reunites with her childhood friends Yui Funami and Kyouko Toshinou and enters an all-girls school, a common premise in this genre.

It seems that Akari mistakenly believes she is standing in front of the “Club of Tea” when she first joins her friends in the “Amusement Club” (now called Chinatsu Yoshikawa), which Yui and Kyouko formed at school. The “Tea Club” had already disappeared by the time Akari joined. The girls finally succeeded in getting Chinatsu to join the “Amusement Club” after they broke the news that the “Tea Club” had disbanded.

7. Bloom Into You

Yuu, the protagonist of Bloom Into You, is a young woman who loves romantic shoujo manga and can’t wait for the day that a boy will confess his feelings for her. On the other hand, Yuu is completely unmoved, shocked, and disillusioned when a boy at her school comes clean about her se*ual orientation.

After witnessing the stunning Nanami confidently reject a suitor, Yuu decides to seek the young woman’s advice. This sets everything in motion. From that point on, her shoujo relationship takes a completely unexpected turn.

8. Noir

In Noir, the protagonist, an assassin named Mireille Bouquet, gets an email from a girl suffering from amnesia. It turns out, though, that she is still a lethal killer even when she has memory loss. Paris, the French capital, is the final stop on the girls’ nostalgic trip through their pasts. But that isn’t going to happen since someone is standing in their way.

9. Eru Kazado

Ellis and Nadi are the protagonists and secondary characters in Eru Kazado. An underground society known as the “Hunters” accuses Ellis of murder and forces him to leave at the beginning of the anime.

A bounty hunter named Nadi, who had been seeking Ellis in order to collect the reward for his capture, eventually approaches her after some time has passed. After some time, Nadi resolves to stop thinking about it and instead focus on helping Ellis learn the truth about his history and definitely must watch in the Top 10 Yuri Anime list.

10. Strawberry Panic

Aoi Nagisa is our protagonist in Strawberry Panic. She is a new student at Starrawberry Dorms, a Catholic girls’ institution.

Each of the three student groups in Strawberry Dorms—Lulim, Miator, and Spica—has its own president, dress code, and schedule of events. The student from Nagisa, who is part of Miator’s group, becomes the center of attention at school following a series of events involving Student Etoile, who stands in for the three different groups.

Everyone looks up to Shizuma in some way. In the meanwhile, love blossoms between Nagisa and Shizuma, leading to the development of a love triangle!
