One GTA Online player recently came across a weird glitch wherein cops managed to kill them even after they have died. By now, Grand Theft Auto Online players have gotten used to the multiplayer game’s enormous number of glitches.

Some bugs are relatively small, hardly impacting the player’s gameplay. Other in-game glitches could hamper the overall experience, though, resulting in cars burning randomly and users getting locked out of explorable areas.

Considering the amount of updates this title gets frequently, such issues are bound to persist. But one recent bug has kept players wondering what’s even happening in the game.

GTA Online cops weirdly kill player after dying

Object_Middle_696 shared a small video on Reddit showing their strange glitch with one of the GTA Online police officer. The video shows that in the middle of a shootout with police, the player gets the better of the cops and manages to hit one cop with a killing blow.

Everything seemed normal until the officer who was shot and is dying on the ground, fires one round of shotgun. That final blow manages to kill the player in a blink of an eye.

Reddit user Shashlik_McBlin noted that some dying NPCs can pull the trigger because of the “shock of the fall.” RearWheelDriveCult also gave its opinion, saying that sometimes a falling gun can fire without anyone having to hold it.

This won’t be the first instance that a Redditor has shared such a video. A few months ago, another GTA Online player saw an NPC firing a kill shot after death. This is something GTA Online players have been used. It will be interesting to see when this issue gets fixed.
