Previously in Episode 11

Now that the battle has subsided, we saw Rimuru and his closest advisors meeting with the Holy Empire of Lubelius’s leadership in an effort to determine the next steps. Rimuru succeeded in having them treat Dwarves more humanely, which led to the establishment of diplomatic contacts with Tempest and the recognition of the Armed Nation of Dwargon as a possible ally. Along with agreeing to declare a draw in his fight with Hinata, Rimuru did this so the Empire could save face.

In addition to the peace summit, where Rimuru and Demon Lord Valentine got drunk and said a bit too much, there was a lot more plotting in this episode. Rozzo and the Eastern Merchant began the episode by blaming each other for the failure of their plot to depose Hinata and turn Lubelius against Rimuru. Before returning to his home country, that same Eastern merchant visited Yuuki Kagurazaka and agreed to send a fresh meddler named Misha instead. As it turned out, Yuuki was collaborating with Kazalim, also known as Kagali, another Demon Lord.
