Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf, an outstanding off-laner for OG, was let go during the off-season. OG fired ATF after The International 2022 (TI11), despite the fact that he had a good year with the team, mostly because the team could no longer accommodate his playstyle owing to playstyle disagreements. SVG Defends Why DM Might Work Out Better Than ATF for OG

DM is described by SVG as being calm and composed

Avery “SVG” Silverman, a former professional player who is now a caster, recently discussed the hiring of Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin by OG on the most recent episode of OG’s Money Business Podcast with OG CEO JMR Luna. As DM was a trial player at Chaos Esports Club in late 2019, SVG said at the outset that they had previously played together for a brief amount of time. The trial, he said, had failed at the moment, but he had commended the athlete for his coolness and openness during their time together.

DM and I played around. We recruited him after spending some time scouting him (from Hellraisers in late 2019). We were a lousy team at the time, and I believe that was a major factor in why the project failed. He was unable to succeed when we added him to the roster. For that, I feel awful. However, he’s an incredibly laid-back guy who is really pleasant and sincere since he is very quiet, has a strong work ethic, and is open to new ideas. He continued by stating that DM is an improvement over ATF in terms of playstyle and flexibility as he discussed the finalised roster of OG.

It should be intriguing to see, in my opinion. He is without a doubt more selfless than ATF was. He has a bigger utility hero pool than ATF did, which I believe was one of the key factors in OG’s poor performance at TI since I believe that patch was strange and it really changed ATF’s playstyle. Consequently, I believe that DM is a little more adaptable as an off-laner in terms of what OG wants in terms of plans moving forward because he can play the necessary heroes needed as opposed to ATF.

In the upcoming weeks, DM will make his OG debut in the top tier of Western Europe (WEU) DPC league. The gamer will be under a lot of pressure, though, as Tundra Esports, the TI11 champions, are his first scheduled opponents in the regional competition.
