Rockstar seems to have shifted all its focus to one place as GTA 6 development continues to catch pace, bidding adieu to Red Dead Online with the latest update. Despite GTA 6’s being years away, and lack of information apart from a confirmation of its development going off officially, it looks like the developers are starting to go big with the production.

Recently, Rockstar rolled out an update in GTA 5 and GTA Online, thanking all the 5101 developers who were involved in the development of the blockbuster game. Fans were quick to react and tool the ‘thank you’ note as a hint that teams will now be focusing on GTA 6.

Now, one week later, a similar update has been deployed for Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online, sparking more speculations. The latest Red Dead patch has added an option to view the game’s credits from the pause menu. Upon accessing the credits this way, players will be able to see a new message.

“Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has helped create Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online,” the note reads, similar to what appeared in GTA a few days back.

This thank you message follows the viral #RedDeadFuneral trend, where, players paid homage to the online game after a year without DLC. While the agenda behind these updates is still unclear, but a common assumption is that Rockstar is shifting focus towards a new GTA game.

As of now, there is no concrete information about GTA 6’s release date, gameplay, or characters. But various leaks and insider reports have been creeping in ever since the game has been confirmed. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier suggested GTA 6 will have two protagonists, where on will be the first playable female character in the franchise.
