The American VALORANT Players Association had earlier today informed players that the LCQ would be played on Patch 7.00, but Riot Games has now confirmed that Deadlock will be disabled for the VCT Last Chance Qualifier events. The association also stated that Riot would maintain Deadlock’s functionality for the upcoming Game Changers II series, but it made no mention of Deadlock’s accessibility for Champions 2023.

It’s impossible to predict whether Riot will eventually activate Deadlock for Champions in August, even though the LCQ teams are competing with her disabled. If you need more information about Riot changing its mind about Deadlock and saying the new agent won’t be present at VALORANT LCQ, then read carefully, and don’t forget to share with your friends.

Riot changes its mind about Deadlock and says the new agent won’t be present at VALORANT LCQ:

The way the Association’s statement is worded suggests that all of the teams competing at LCQ will continue to play on Patch 7.00, but only with Deadlock turned off. This implies that players will probably play LCQ using the most recent patch, which includes all of the most recent agent fixes, including enhanced Suppression from KAY/O along with other minor changes.

However, given that the majority of the players competing in the LCQ haven’t played since their VCT international league playoffs, there will still be a tonne of changes to get used to. Interestingly, the agent’s first look and gameplay will be shown off alongside the TDM show match on the day of the Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) 2023 Masters Tokyo grand finals.

About Phantom and Vandal ammo reductions, Viper Fuel regeneration nerfs, slight Chamber buffs, and the significant Pearl updates, VALORANT Patch 6.11 in particular introduced meta-altering weapon and agent changes. Additionally, the Shorty and the Frenzy, two well-liked pistol options, underwent some significant nerfs.

On July 15, the VCT Last Chance Qualifiers will begin in America and the Pacific. Due to Fnatic’s victory at Masters Tokyo, the teams competing in the EMEA VCT LCQ will be competing for two Champions spots rather than one when it begins on July 19. On Sunday, August 6, VALORANT Champions 2023 will then start.
