Bundle Box prices confuse players

After discovering the discrepancy in pricing for Bundle Boxes containing identical items, a Pokemon Go player posted about it on Reddit, sharing screenshots of two boxes with different prices. The post gained traction among fans, with many expressing their confusion and offering their opinions.

Several players commented on the Reddit post, sharing their lack of surprise regarding Niantic’s supposed error. Given the company’s reputation for mishaps, one commenter sarcastically quipped, “Niantic making a mistake? No way!” Other users also weighed in, stating their belief that the pricing discrepancy was unlikely to be a simple mistake at this point.

Niantic has yet to address the issue

Although there is no clear explanation for why the identical Bundle Boxes are priced differently, many players suspect that it could be part of Niantic’s A/B testing strategy. This theory has gained traction among the community as a plausible explanation for the pricing discrepancy.

A/B testing is a process of comparing two different variations of a product to observe user response, and it’s likely that Niantic is using this approach to determine which Bundle Box sells better, despite the identical contents. Nevertheless, the community has expressed their discontent with the method, whether intentional or not, as it feels unfair to have to pay more for the same items as other players.

Are bots providing Pokemon Go five-star reviews?

Many screenshots have emerged on IMGUR depicting simple five-star reviews of the game. Examples of the compliments included “great” and “very super,” which reviewers wrote in the few days before the Remote Raid cost adjustment.

Moreover, Reddit user flyingswordfish posted the so-called fabricated reviews on the Pokemon Go subreddit. “At the risk of Pokemon Go itself I want Niantic to go down hard because of this change,” FlavorfulHades wrote. “Hope there’s someone more versed in weird legalese who knows who to report them for this,”
