Players will be excited for the summer as Prime Gaming publishes a new Overwatch 2 skin for free:

This skin was first made available by Blizzard in 2018 as a part of the annual, time-limited Summer Games event. The skins from previous Summer Games could be obtained through loot boxes or in-game money during Overwatch’s Summer Games events.

The Amazon Prime extension for Twitch is Prime Gaming. Prime Gaming is available to customers with active Amazon Prime subscriptions at no extra cost. Users are aware that each month they receive a free Twitch subscription to use on a streamer’s channel, but there are also lots of bonuses available for gamers who enjoy a variety of games.

Despite the skin being available to buy with Overwatch credits for most legacy content earlier this year, some fans expressed their disappointment about it on the game’s forums. And it looks like we now understand the reasons why that was probably the case. The fact that many people would soon be able to get the skin for free suggests that Blizzard was trying to prevent players from spending credits on it.

  1. Make sure you have an active Prime Gaming subscription

  3. Make sure your Overwatch 2 account of choice is linked to your Twitch account
  4. Click “Get in-game content”

Players can equip the skin in their Hero Gallery after successfully claiming it. Up until June 22, the skin is accessible through Prime Gaming.

Through Prime Gaming, you can still purchase this skin until June 22. It’s not yet known if the skin will be vaulted or if players who don’t have Prime Gaming will be able to buy it with Overwatch credits. Free Overwatch 2 content is frequently available from Prime Gaming. In addition to receiving $10 in battle pass experience last month, Prime Gaming members have previously received a variety of other in-game cosmetics.

In addition, more Summer Games content should be available in the upcoming weeks as Blizzard confirmed that Season 5 will include the yearly competition. The Seasonal Roadmap, which Blizzard recently unveiled as a preview of what’s to come in Seasons 5, 6, and 7, was released at the same time as Prime Gaming, a little earlier than fans are used to.
