The second phase of the Overwatch 2 beta has finally arrived, this time allowing PlayStation and Xbox players to try it out. Whether it’s for the first or second time, players can play the five-vs-five action before the game’s official free-to-play early access release slated for October 4.

The new beta brings a new tank hero Junker Queen and a Río-based map called Paraíso, the home of Lucío. Players are also allowed to take part in the other maps that were a part of the first beta and the new Push game mode.

Players could notice the lack of focus on the support role, comprising no new heroes and having very few impactful changes. Although all heroes in the role now come with a new passive healing them gradually out of combat, the 7 heroes in the support role are pretty much similar to how they play in the base Overwatch game.

Lucío has come out as a prominent pick across both Overwatch 2 betas thanks to his team-wide speed boost, especially in the new Push maps. The hero is capable of leading the entire team into the enemy team without giving them much chance to retaliate.

Moira has also received a new change that altered the damage-dealing part of her Biotic Orb into a new ability known as Necrotic Orb. This orb doesn’t bounce around and deal damage to enemies. Rather, it goes in a straight line and creates an explosion upon reaching any object.

Ana, Mercy, Baptiste, and Zenyatta are still viable options for players who have played  with them from the first iteration of the game since they have not received any extensive changes. The biggest change of the lot has been witnessed by Zenyatta, who comes with a knockback on his melee attack that catches opponents trying to take on him off guard.
