One Punch Man Chapter 201 Summary

In this chapter, we see a new level of power even greater than cosmic fear Garo. The Ninja Village leader ‘Empty Void’ can leave the universe and look at parallel worlds that branch from it. He attacks these worlds with his special move, the Dimension Slash which we have seen before. This new ability changes the power levels in the story.

Earlier, Empty Void tried to convince Flash and Sonic to join God using a genjutsu. However, Sonic broke free and woke Flash, explaining that the genjutsu takes advantage of emotional dependencies. Flash, at first in denial but starts to recognize his bond with Sonic. They then face Empty Void, who suddenly changes reality and leaves the visible universe.

The Empty Void explains that he is outside the causal universe, observing countless parallel worlds. He has these powers because God gave them to him and he absorbed the cosmic power that Garou left behind after Saitama’s defeat. Empty Void’s power surpasses anything we have ever seen even surpassing Garou’s knowledge of time travel.

Looking at the timeline he left Flash and Sonic in, Empty Void prepares to use his Dimension Slash, demonstrating how he can attack from the universe. Flashy Flash nearly kills Sonic and Empty Void again tries to convince the Flash to accept God’s influence. But then Blast intervenes, hitting Empty Void with a gravity knuckle and revealing that he was after them all along.

Sonic is revealed to be alive, and Blast admits that both Flash and Sonic have overcome the Cube’s temptation.
