In the last chapter, Flashy Flash and Sonic teamed up to defeat the Heavenly Ninja Party. They won quite easily, and it was one of the more violent chapters we’ve seen lately. After their victory, Sonic thought about how much Flashy Flash had improved since their days in the Ninja Village. Sonic believed he had become stronger from fighting Saitama, but he was amazed by Flashy Flash’s growth. Still, Sonic remained delusional, thinking he was better.
Sonic is here reflecting on what kind of hostility Flashy Flash faced as a hero. The Flash had some strong enemies but they weren’t much better than him: from Pre-Cosmic Garou to Platinum Sperm, both grades above average, one grade above Sonic. Sonic has also become quite strong in his defence, all the more so since he skipped most of the Monsters Association series.
They will meet the last of the Heavenly Ninja Party, who warned them of Empty Void that they had no chance against. Sonic disregards it, and the ninja dies. Sonic and Flashy Flash continue to suspect that Empty Void might already be there after Empty Void tricks Sonic into touching a mysterious cube. The solid Flashy Flash landed and sliced through Empty Void, but it was late Sonic had already touched the cube, which had begun influencing his mind.
Empty Void then fought Flashy Flash, using the cube to send him into a psychic world where Flash met a God disguised as Sonic. This situation was similar to previous times when God tried to manipulate heroes by pretending to be someone they cared about. The chapter ended with this cliffhanger, pointing to an intense battle and psychological tricks ahead.
