The One Piece chapter 1052 initial spoilers do come with some knots that will tie the loose ends. The spoilers definitely put a stamp on the fact that Kaido and Big Mom have indeed been defeated, for good.
As always, @orojapan1 is out with the leaks and they are just mind boggling. No mention of any of the Straw Hats, but know this… drum roll… Red Scabbards are making an appearance but Ashura and Izo have died. Who survived? Kinemon. The chapter is acting as a transitional one since the Wano Arc has ended Luffy and the crew have new adventures to follow.

This chapter will also see the arrival of Carrot who almost cries with happiness. He can be seen with Nami, Tama and Robin. The chapter is called “A New Morning” and on the cover we have the Germas, who are, infact having an encounter with Caesar. At the end of the chapter Admiral Ryokugyu can also be seen moving towards Wano, therefore a new branch in the story is expected to be created.
The situation appears to be such that the borders are closed and Zunesha has left Wano. This could have happen after the fight, though. The spoilers also keep on suggesting that Carrot will be with the Straw Hats for some time. As the spoilers move ahead, Basil Hawkins can be seen talking to Drake and reveals something astonishing. He told him that he had already predicted Kaido’s defeat. He further adds that one person just has 1% chance of survival. Could it be Luffy? Are the editor’s note actually a reality? His cards had already predicted all of this but he did not say anything because he did not want to commit another betrayal towards Yonko because of his pride.
Adding more to it, there’s a bit of comic relief here and there. While the larger part of the story does revolve around other characters, a touch of Yamato’s mention is the fun element that the chapter needed. While all currently available information seems to point to this upcoming issue being the end of the Wano arc, author Eiichiro Oda could still have some surprises hidden up his sleeves for the upcoming chapters.
