ONE Esports, the esports venture of sports media company ONE Championship, has announced that it will host an Invitational VALORANT tournament in the Southeast Asian (SEA) region. Known as the Valorant Off//Season, the initiative aims to provide third-party tournament organizers the option of hosting Valorant tournaments outside the VCT Circuit, which is run by game publisher Riot Games.A total of 16 SEA teams will compete for a chance to win a share of $25,000 (~£21,158) in prize money in the AfreecaTV VALORANT SEA Invitational. Some of the organizations competing in Vent include VCT Pacific partner teams Rex Regum Qion (RRQ), Boom Esports, Xerxia and Alter Ego.

As event host, ONE Esports will provide a variety of coverage across its publications and social channels during the Group Stage and Playoffs. Eight teams will qualify from four groups, with playoffs using a single-elimination bracket format.This event is the first collaboration between AfreecaTV and ONE Esports. Throughout 2022, ONE Esports has partnered with EA as well as securing deals such as Mobalytics and international banking company HSBC.

The AfreecaTV VALORANT SEA Invitational is one of several off-season tournaments that have unfolded. It is joined by the Spike Series III hosted by Brazilian tournament organizer EsportsMaker and the G-Loot Valorant Clash hosted by esports platform G-Loot. Riot Games says the off-season will feature “at least 25 tournaments” organized by various tournament organizers.
