The Riyadh Masters tournament, featuring a staggering prize pool of $15,000,000, is gearing up to captivate Dota 2 fans worldwide. From July 17th to July 30th, this prestigious event will offer an intense display of skill and fierce competition. As we progress towards the tournament, several teams have already secured their spots, including Gaimin Gladiators and Tundra, while two more teams will be determined through Dreamleague Season 20. Excitingly, the tournament organizers have announced invitations for Nigma Galaxy and Quest Esports, granting them direct entry into the Riyadh Masters MENA Closed Qualifiers. These two formidable teams will be accompanied by two other teams from the open qualifiers, battling it out for a single slot to secure their place in the Riyadh Masters 2023.
While Nigma Galaxy faced a challenging season in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) Tour 3: Division II, their invitation to the Riyadh Masters MENA Closed Qualifiers presents an opportunity for redemption. Struggling to break into Division I, Nigma Galaxy finds themselves in an uphill battle as they strive to earn a place at The International 12. Given the unlikelihood of direct qualification through DPC points, the team’s fate rests on their performance in the qualifiers—a chance to keep their dreams alive.
