In Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Claude isn’t your typical marksman hero. Playing Claude requires you to get close in a team fight because most marksmen must deal damage from a distance to avoid being burnt down. With the aid of Battle Mirror Image and the Art of Thievery abilities, he can quickly get into and out of tricky situations. One of the game’s most lethal offensive abilities is his recognizable ultimate, Blazing Duet.

His two main weapons, the Demon Hunter Blade and Golden Staff make him a challenging opponent to defeat. He does, however, have one glaring flaw that drops him one level below well-known marksman heroes like Wanwan and Beatrix, and that flaw is his limited basic attack range.

3. Popol and Kupa

The nightmare in the gold lane for every Claude is Popol and Kupa. Bite Em’ Kupa and Popol’s Surprise are two of his trap-setting abilities. When landing, be sure to use Bite Em’ Kupa to harass Claude. At level four, use his ultimate, We Are Angry, and the improved Bite Em’ Kupa to stun the Master Thief. After the first skill’s duration, set up a trap in front of him so that he will be stunned once more.

If he attacks you with Battle Mirror Image and Blazing Duet, move in close to him and use Kupa, Help! to negate his ultimate. To prevent Claude from returning to his original mirror image, this must be completed quickly. Decide on Vengeance as your battle spell, and give Blade of Despair priority. You can choose Sprint if your team has heavy roamers for crowd control like Franco or Atlas.

2. Saber

Saber is a good choice if you want to cause trouble in the gold lane. With a combination of Orbiting Sword and Triple Sweep, this hero can knock Claude to the ground. Through Triple Sweep, he can also end Blazing Duet. If you want to kill the Master Thief in one blow, Blade of the Heptaseas is a necessity. If an opponent manages to escape your Triple Sweep ultimate while you are playing in the gold lane, all you need to do is use the Sprint battle spell to hunt them down.

If he has a Vengeance battle spell, you can also choose to use the Execute battle spell since Saber’s full combo might not be sufficient for a kill. Whoever can use their ultimate first in the middle to the late game will win this matchup. Make sure to periodically check his inventory to see if he constructs a Wind of Nature. If he does, be sure to wait for him to use it before using your usual combo because Saber’s ultimate is regarded as a basic attack.

1. Lesley

Even though Lesley isn’t a widely used pick in the current metagame, she is still a solid alternative against marksmen heroes like Karrie and Claude who have shorter basic attack ranges.

Lesley can easily harass the Master Thief thanks to one of the longest basic attacks ranges in the game and her passive ability, Lethal Shot, which, if she doesn’t take any damage for five seconds, increases the range and crit chance of her subsequent basic attack. Additionally, Claude’s ultimate, Blazing Duet, can be stopped by her second skill, Tactical Grenade. Lesley can use Tactical Snipe to locate where he teleported if he tries to flee using Battle Mirror Image.
