Chapter 164 of Mercenary Enrollment began with Shin Yuna expressing her hunger and initiating a conversation about what to eat. A man with visible injuries is approaching them, and Hyuk Jin’s tension levels rise in response to his appearance.
Hyuk Jin insisted on knowing what had happened to his younger brother, the man with bruises, because he was actually his brother. Despite Hyuk Jin’s persistence, his younger brother remained silent. Hyuk Jin persisted in asking questions until he received a response. To avoid interfering, the other members of the party made the decision to head to the game cafe.
After settling the issue with his younger brother, Hyuk Jin goes to the cafe with his pals to play. Until the phone call from the hospital arrived, they were enjoying themselves, having a slice-of-life moment, if you will. Without informing his pals or phoning them later to fill them on, Hyuk Jin rushed for the location immediately after.
The injured and bandaged younger sibling of Jin Hyuk briefly appears in a few panels. He is lying in a hospital bed, confused and in a stupor the next time we see him.
The mystery of his brother’s excruciating pain tormented Jin Hyuk. But the wait was short-lived, as Lee Jin’s brother’s phone began ringing with texts shortly after. Reviewing the message enlightened him as to his brother’s initial hospitalization and the subsequent summons from those accountable.
