Megan Thee Stallion's stage comeback featured cosplayers of Satoru Gojo and Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen, showcasing her love for anime.
The famous rapper Megan Thee Stallion who is also an anime lover made an electrifying return to stage by thrilling her audience during a recent concert held in Detroit. The most outstanding part of the event was when she called up two fans dressed as Satoru Gojo and Sukuna Ryomen from one of her favourite anime shows Jujutsu Kaisen to join her in performing. The act was totally unexpected but it left everyone amazed thus affirming Megans passion for these Japanese cartoons.
Megan Thee Stallion began her hotly anticipated Hot Girl Summer tour in Detroit after dropping her new studio album, “Boa.” Although her performance was already breathtaking, what stood out the most was when two cosplayers appeared on stage as characters from Jujutsu Kaisen.
During the show, Megan noticed a pair of fans dressed up as Satoru Gojo and Sukuna Ryomen – two of the most popular figures in this anime series. She wasted no time in calling them up to join her, much to everybody’s excitement including theirs.
The opportunity to both Megan Thee Stallion and Jujutsu Kaisen anime was taken advantage of by two cosplayers one being the powerful Satoru Gojo while the other was the formidable Sukuna Ryomen. They “threw it back” alongside the rapper as they danced creating a moment full of awe which was unforgettable for the crowd.
Videos of herself onstage were shared on social media by a cosplayer using @greeneyes0134 as her username and “Hottie Gojo” as a display name. “I GOT CALLED ON STAGE BY MEGAN THEE STALLION OMFG DETROIT HOTTIES WE ATE! gojo thee hottie #hotgirlsummertour” read her caption.
Megan Thee Stallion is a huge fan of anime, and she has made this known by dressing up as different characters from popular series a number of times. She has portrayed Rumi ‘Mirko’ Usagiyama (My Hero Academia), Death the Kid (Soul Eater), Boa Hancock (One Piece), Jolyne Cujoh (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) and Satoru Gojo (Jujutsu Kaisen).
This year, Megan Thee Stallion showed up at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards where she was a presenter while cosplaying Bruno Bucciarati from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventures. She loves anime so much so that during her concert, she even brought people who were cosplaying on stage which shows how much she feels identified with them.
