At the beginning of the chapter, we see two soldiers standing guard. One of the troops indicated the approaching chopper from the south and instructed comrade Daewoong as to whether or not they should report the sighting to higher command. Daewoong scoffed at him and said the South Koreans wouldn’t dare invade so boldly.
He reassured him coolly to not be concerned. When the chopper landed, however, they met Manager Kim and Chief Kim Gwangjo rather than Comrade Denyeol. When they saw Manager Kim, they opened fire on the chopper. Manager Kim cautioned them against firing at them, saying that a codetta was imminent and that they were the only two survivors.

Seong Hansoo, however, saw through her deception and encouraged her to cut to the chase. As a result, she inquired as to the whereabouts of Manager Kim.
In addition to Shin Sera informing him about Zu Pengguan’s death, she also informed him that Zu Pengguan was a very wealthy and influential member of Chain’s criminal underworld who had left a will.
