Players now have access to a new champion who has joined the game’s roster on one of League of Legends’ most important days of the year. Naafiri, the Hound of a Hundred Bites, can now be purchased for 7,800 Blue Essence or 975 Riot Points in League’s in-game shop following the release of Patch 13.14 yesterday. She enters the game as the 164th champion.

She is a mid-lane assassin with a special kit that revolves around controlling multiple entities at once. She is focused on eliminating each of her enemies one at a time. Since Kayn—or, more specifically, Rhaast—joined the League’s expanding cast in 2017, Naafiri is the first Darkin champion to do so. She has control over multiple bodies at once that can be called upon at will and used for both defensive and offensive purposes thanks to a Darkin dagger that has taken over a pack of dogs’ minds. She can even press a button to instantly regenerate the health bars on her pack.

The Hound of a Hundred Bites will play a significant role in the eagerly awaited Soul Fighter event, not only receiving a skin that is tied into the event’s mythology but also making an appearance as a cameo champion that can interfere with players’ gameplay in the new Arena mode. She also debuted today, July 20, along with the rest of the Soul Fighter event, which also includes a variety of cosmetics for other champions, the Arena mode, a battle pass, and new rewards to earn.

Naafiri’s BE price will drop to 6,300 next week and stay at 975 RP at all times, following the pattern of all new champion releases. To allow players to learn how to use her straightforward yet effective kit wherever they’d like, she won’t be disabled in any queues, including the recently reopened ranked queue signaling the start of the second split of the year.
