What’s coming in League Patch 13.4?

The past few weeks may have been full in store as the league’s teams dealt with the fallout of the cyberattack, but no one could accuse them of taking it slow once the problems were resolved. This time, in patch 13.4, the Riot balance squad is hitting nearly two dozen champions, ranging from Vigor, Cho’Gath, and Vigo (all getting buffed) to Riven, Samira, Jax, and Amumu. There’s also a healthy split for the February change list, with nine nerfs and eleven buffs.

In the meantime, a few other system nerfs are directed at reducing the snowball effect in the game:

  • Kill Experience
  • Kill Comeback Experience
  • Treasure Hunter
  • Demonic Embrace Clearspeed

System adjustments are also made for jungle maintain and apparent speed, Doran’s Shield, and the Masters’ Triumph and Grasp of the Undying. Riot has made several modifications to ARAM during the 2023 pre-season in response to player complaints that the game mode is now far more competitive and less enjoyable than before. Hextech Gates, which teleport you to your farthest turret, have been added by Riot in addition to the customary champion and item changes in ARAM. Riot has generally tried to make ARAM more approachable and enjoyable for everyone. They haven’t stopped yet though.
