Previously in Chapter 7

Early in Kagurabachi, a man named Sojo provides some crucial context for the plot, setting the stage for an exciting read. In his pursuit of a mysterious sword and a little boy, Sojo will stop at nothing.

Following a car accident, the gang finds themselves in a sticky predicament. They are aware that Sojo will exact a severe price for the theft of the child and the sword and that they must leave quickly. We meet Chihiro-Kun, who appears to have some history with the gang. As they were discussing whether or not to draw their swords, a badge interrupted them, drastically changing the situation.

Yes, Azami-San sincerely valued his offer to assist, despite the group’s obviously dire circumstances. There have been investigations into the enigmatic “Kamunabi” gang and its ties to the yakuza, businesses, and Common Sorcerers since Chihiro-Kun’s accident. As eliminating national dangers takes precedence over individual pursuits, Azami is unable to protect Smal Chan while working in the Nao-Chan area for Kamunabi.

In this chapter, the group discusses the repercussions of their actions and the challenges they face. This chapter explains why Chihiro-Kun exists and what the 7th Evil Spirit Sword is. A small group of Kamunabi trailblazers, it seems, are aware of the sword and fear for the safety of their nation. Although Azami has been keeping Chihiro-Kun and the swords hidden, everything is now transparent.
