The chapter begins with Sukuna and Yutaro opening their domains, Yuta successfully shrinks the size of Unlimited Void’s barrier to a small, basketball-like size just as Gojo did before. The narrator explains that Gojo had devised a way to counter Sukuna’s open barrier domain by making a small barrier domain. This small barrier could withstand the effects of Malevolent Shrine for about three minutes.
Yuta mentions that given Sukuna’s fatigue, and he believes he can withstand Sukuna’s domain for three minutes just like Gojo Sensei. The narrator adds that Sukuna has adjusted his technique by reducing the effective range of his Cursed Technique to only surround Yuta’s barrier. He also eliminated the 99-second time limit of the Malevolent Shrine.
It’s revealed that before the fight, Yuta had swapped souls with Gojo to train which improved his barrier techniques. Yuta plans to damage Sukuna enough within three minutes so that he can’t maintain the Malevolent Shrine. On the other hand, Sukuna intends to destroy Infinite Void within the same time frame and expand his domain to kill everyone.
Yuta tries to use Blue to pull the King of Curses toward him. Still, Sukuna closes space immediately before he can succeed and flings his amputated arms around Yuta and punches him in the face. Yuta notices that he did this with Dominant Amplification at the same time as Domain Expansion, which allowed him to slip into Yuta’s infinity and land the blow.
Evil-looking Sukuna smirks and thinks the magicians should be unable to report what is happening inside the Domain to Mei Mei’s crows at the outer layer. Meanwhile, the screen now takes only the traumatized Rika; while crying, she holds onto the lifeless body of Yuuta, mourning the death of the man she deeply loves.
