In the previous chapter, Yuji Choso and Kamo were training together, Yuji asked Choso to teach him a powerful technique called Convergence but Choso wasn’t very good at explaining things. Instead, Kamo stepped in and explained how Blood Manipulation and Convergence work.
Choso then suggested teaching Yuji a different technique called the supernova attack but Kamo disagreed. He advised Yuji to concentrate on mastering Blood Manipulation initially in order to assist in stopping bleeding and dressing wounds.
Choso felt sad and disappointed that he couldn’t teach Yuji but then a dangerous situation showed up. There was a powerful technique called Kamino that Sukuna a powerful sorcerer had sealed away. The Author explained that during a fight with another sorcerer named Gojo Sukuna had to keep changing the specifications of his technique to make it less dangerous.
Suddenly Choso sacrificed himself to protect Yuji from the flames of Kamino, as he lay dying he apologized for not being a better teacher and thanked Yuji for being like a brother to him. In their imaginary soul world Choso praised Yuji for learning quickly and apologized for leaving him alone again.
Back in reality, Yuji said goodbye to Choso as everything crumbled around them, he felt hopeless until Aoi Todo arrived to help him. Todo had a plan to rescue people trapped by Sukuna’s technique using Mei Mei’s crow and his own abilities.
Now that Sukuna was weak, they had a chance to overcome him, so Todo urged Yuji to have faith in their allies amidst the danger and unknown.
