In Chapter 50 of the Jinx manga, the story Starts with Jumin’s coach talking about changing a pain relief spray that ended up causing burns instead. Kim, still puzzled, can’t figure out why the spray had the opposite effect. Jaekyung, despite being injured, decides to fight with an ankle guard. Kim offers to help, but Jaekyung snaps and leaves.
During the match between Jaekyung and Jumin, everyone notices Jaekyung wearing an ankle guard. Jumin uses his grappling skills to target Jaekyung’s injured ankle, but Jaekyung defends himself well. Jaekyung goes on the offensive, but the round ends before he can knock out Jumin.
In the next round, Jumin continues with his grappling, slamming Jaekyung to the mat and targeting his injured shoulder. Jaekyung counterattacks and demonstrates his will in spite of the wound. He highlights his unbeaten position despite the difficulties by saying that he would have finished Jumin already if he hadn’t been injured.
