Everyone doesn’t have to wait much longer as Jinx Chapter 23 is going to release on 22nd May 2023 on Lezhin. Not only have the readers, but Kim himself, has been on an emotional roller coaster over the past several chapters. We couldn’t help but feel relieved after the events of the last chapter. After all, Kim contributed with a key observation at the perfect time, and things didn’t escalate further.
Not very long ago, Kim nearly lost all he owned and had nowhere to call home. He has already lost his home and will have to temporarily reside with his builder. Because of the deal, he made with Jaekyung, we saw some of his problems firsthand and felt awful about him.
As Jaekyung and Kim Dan appear to be becoming closer in Jinx Chapter 23, one of the MMA fighters will begin to suspect the other. No one has shown us around the entire gym yet; all we know is that there is a coach. There hasn’t been much orientation for the other boxers who use the facility.
Since then, Jaekyung has kept his friendship with Kim Dan a secret from the rest of the gym. One of the combatants, though, has begun to wonder if there is more going on between them. In the eyes of his fellow gym-goers, Jaekyung isn’t an easy sell, and he doesn’t provide favors to random people. Kim’s skepticism over Jaekyung’s claim that they live together may have contributed to the other member’s skepticism. And given the nature of BL tropes, that suggests there will be an outside force at play here.

Kim visits his sick grandmother at the opening of this chapter. He arrives to find Jaekyung having a conversation with her. Kim’s grandmother appears to be happy to have Jaekyung in her life. Kim then politely requested a conversation with his grandma from Jaekyung. He stated he had to get back to the gym, and Jaekyung agreed. As Jaekyung left, Kim’s grandmother grasped his hand and thanked him affectionately. When Kim inquired as to how he knew, Jaekyung explained that he had stopped by after his workout.
Kim apologized to Jaekyung for getting into an argument and shouting at him earlier. Jaekyung acknowledged Kim’s contrition but cautioned him from abandoning the thaw. And he wanted to make sure Kim knew how much his grandmother appreciated her visit. When they asked about payment, the nurse said that Jaekyung had already covered it. The fact that he didn’t work for it bothers him.
The next scene takes place in Kim and Jaekyung’s apartment, where Kim is preparing breakfast. The sight of breakfast piques Jaekyung’s interest, despite his claim that he has a dietician who handles his eating and therefore didn’t request it. Jaekyung sits down and takes a bite. He enjoys the flavor and inquires as to Kim’s culinary training. It’s comforting to Jaekyung that Kim attributes his knowledge to his grandmother. He made a joking claim that he didn’t get it from a store.
