10. Discuss agent composition strategies with your team:

You’ll play more successful games if your agent composition is proper. Choose agents that work well together by working together with your teammates before the round begins. Selecting the ideal lineup will give your team a competitive edge whether you’re attacking or defending. Riot created some agents to perform best in specific circumstances.

9. Practice with two to three agents:

When first entering Valorant, make an effort to create a modest agent pool. You should avoid playing every agent at first because doing so will prevent you from mastering a particular play style. Try not to focus on just one or two agents, as other players might choose them as well.

TenZ revealed that Jett was his constant choice when he first began playing Valorant. But as soon as someone else chose the part, he started to have trouble because he had no idea how to play any other agents. He began choosing Viper at that point because no one else at the time was an expert on the character. She’s now my favorite character, TenZ said in 2020 after he grew accustomed to her.

8. Try to win most of your unrated matches:

Your initial account ranking will be influenced by your first 20 unrated matches, according to TenZ. Players are required to play 20 unrated matches before playing their five placement matches, which are a system designed to assess your skill level so that you are ranked appropriately.

TenZ claimed that after finishing all five of his placement matches, his excellent play during his unrated matches earned him an immortal ranking.

7. Avoid solo queuing

Valorant is a team game, so working with a group of players who want to rank up with you will help you all win ranked matches. In addition, TenZ noted that even if you solo queue, there is still a good chance that you will be matched with a group of players.

Playing against people you know will likely reduce your chances of winning because they may have predetermined plays or work better as a team.

6. Avoid careless deaths on defense

Never engage in one-on-one combat or grant free kills to adversaries while defending a site, TenZ advised. Attackers will have an easier time entering and setting up strong positions if you give them a way in.

5. Don’t bait and work together on an attack

“On the attack on any map, make sure you coordinate with your team and you constantly communicate on what you want to do,” said TenZ.

“Don’t bait your teammates for stats, thinking you’ll rank up faster,” he continued. “Be mindful that Valorant is a team game, and winning will ensure you rank up faster.”

4. Go for impact plays

Kills with an impact frag are kills that aid in the round victory. Attackers cannot push into the site using these kinds of plays. It might also be a kill that frees up territory for the rest of your team by taking out an adversary occupying a stronghold.

3. Stay positive

The best way to keep your team engaged in the game is to maintain a positive attitude. Positivity will help your team gain momentum, even if they’ve lost consecutive games. Momentum is crucial to every game in Valorant because teams are vying for 13-round victories.

2. Study the pros

You can improve your decision-making in your own ranked matches by watching and analyzing the streams of professional players. Learn how they use particular weapons and how they play their agents so that you can later incorporate those strategies into your play style.

1. Don’t queue ranked if you’re tilted

Last but not least, TenZ counsels players to refrain from chasing wins if they are already on a losing streak. If you’ve been struggling in your previous games, aiming for victories with all your might after lengthy ranked sessions won’t improve your game and might even hurt it.
