Usually, when a publisher hosts an event, they use it to showcase some content or reveal something for upcoming titles in order to generate more hype before its release. This is something fighting games have done for years, with big tournaments being where developers reveal new characters or games. With SF6 releasing on June 2nd, many fans were expecting some big reveals related to the Capcom Cup IX Finals, which is set to take place on February 19th at AVALON in Hollywood. Capcom Cup 2023 will be held in Burbank, California from February 12-19.
