Harry Potter RPG Hogwarts Legacy has jumped back into the bestsellers list for video games after its recent last-gen launch. Outselling games like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the recent Xbox One and PS4 launch of Hogwarts Legacy has already jumped its way up into the top of sales charts. Hogwarts Legacy grabbed 1st Spot On Bestseller list.
Hogwarts Legacy is a 2023 action game which have a role-playing theme and the game is made by Avalanche Software and launched by Warner Bros. Games under its Portkey Games label. The game is themed in the Wizarding World universe, showing the world in the late 1800s, a century before the events chronicled in the Harry Potter novels. The gamer regulates a student enrolled in the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry who learns to use an array of magical capabilities and items. With the help of fellow students and professors, the main hero starts a journey to solve an ancient mystery that has long been hidden within the wizarding world.
When the Harry Potter game initially released on Xbox Series, PS5 and PC, the game managed to crack all expectations by publisher Warner Bros. As a much-hyped launch, the game managed to sell next-gen consoles to gamers of the franchise.

As anticipated, the Potter hype has only stayed on last-gen machines. As per the GamesIndustry, Hogwarts Legacy’s last-gen port is now the best-selling physical launch all over the consoles.
Arriving in at first places the Potter video game knocks Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Dead Island 2, FIFA 23 and even the all-new Minecraft spin-off Minecraft Legends. This isn’t even the last launch of Hogwarts Legacy to arrive.
In the upcoming months, one final port is scheduled for the huge RPG: a Nintendo Switch conversion of the Harry Potter adventure. As per the gamers of the last-gen edition, the latest Xbox One and PS4 ports of the game run extremely well.
Sadly, we have yet to discern any glimpse of the Nintendo Switch conversion at the time of writing. Hogwarts Legacy fans have also built a severe modding scene for the video game.
Alongside hilarious model swaps, like turning the broomsticks into Shrek, modders are also developing a full multiplayer mode for the Wizarding World RPG. Warner Bros Games have not disclosed any plans for DLC or sequels to the new Harry Potter game. Nonetheless, deeming the game’s runaway success, we should expect numerous follow-up games in the future years.
