Yeon had a strong suspicion that Deung Cho’s murderer, Hwang Yeomdong, a member of the Flying Dragon Sect, was following him around. As things stand, the Hwang Yeomdong appears to be picking a confrontation with the Soaring Sect. There was no evidence of petty theft or robbery in Deung Cho’s murder.

Because the Soaring Sect had already informed Yeon about the Flying Dragon Sect, its inclusion in the previous chapter of Heavenly Inquisition Sword concerned Yeon. Yeon asks if it appears that Deung Cho was traveling with the Flying Dragon Sect, and speculates on the possible connection between Deung Cho’s disappearance and the sect. Nobody knows for sure, but Yeon has heard rumors of an incident where a strong person (perhaps Jeokha) meddled with the Flying Dragon Sect and Hwang Yeomdong became very upset with Jeokha.
Hwang Yeomdong had planned to fight Jeokha but was immediately humbled after realizing that Jeokha was far too powerful for him to tamper with. Yeon can’t help but wonder what kind of person could take down two expert martial artists from the Orthodox Faction. After everything went down, nobody knows what happened. When Yeomdong assaulted Deung Cho, Yeon knew it was a murderous attack, but she couldn’t figure out why. If two Sects were going at it, surely the Murim Alliance would step in. Yeon has an idea and decides to go check it out.
Yeon considers the possibility that Yeomgdong harbors ill will toward the Soaring Sect. And since he is familiar with the members of the Flying Dragon Sect, he knows that Deung Cho is not among them. She thinks Yeomdong lurked nearby and ambushed Deung Cho from cover to end his life.
It was in this way that Yeomdong quickly dispatched Deung Cho, who put up no resistance whatsoever. As Yeon comes to a halt at her location, she notices that Deung Cho’s body is missing its head.
