As a result, the team’s chances of being promoted to Division I have faded away, leaving them struggling to secure a spot in Division II. During his live stream, Gorgc took a closer look at the DPC WEU 2023 Tour 2: Division II standings, focusing specifically on Old G’s position, and commented on the team’s “rough times.” “There are rough times for Old G right now guys, very rough times. I’m afraid to write to Ceb. Whenever I see him on, he’s always playing pubs. They lost yesterday to Ancient Tribe, and now they can’t go to Division I, so yeah, it’s rough times for Old G right now,” he said.

Old G was one of the strongest teams in Division II, and both fans and players had high hopes for their promotion to Division I. Finishing in the Top 2 was crucial for the team as it would secure a Division I slot and potentially earn them enough DPC points to qualify for The International 12. Unfortunately, their Division II finish will require them to play through the open qualifiers, which will be challenging considering the number of other strong teams competing, including Alliance, Into The Breach, and Ooredoo Thunders, among others.
Gorgc also added a humorous take on the situation, commenting on the potential matchups in Division II. “They’re gonna stay in Div II. But that means we’re gonna get Old G vs Nigma (Galaxy) in Div II and possibly guys, Team Bald, possibly, if we qualify,” he added.
Old G has two remaining series in Division II, one against Team Secret and the other against Alliance, both of which are highly anticipated by fans. The team will have to work on improving their gameplay in the coming months to perform at the highest levels before The International 12.
