Teyvat, created by Genshin Impact, is a sophisticated universe based on the unique civilizations of its seven countries and gods. So far, the plot has taken players to Mondstadt, the Land of Contracts, Liyue, and the game’s newest addition, Inazuma, the Nation of Eternity. All of this excitement, though, has Genshin Impact fans wondering what’s next on the game’s country roster. Many Genshin Impact players are unfamiliar with the Sumeru nation. So far, this is all we know about it.

Sumeru will be the next nation in Genshin Impact. The nation will be guided by knowledge and academia, as it is the home of the God of Wisdom and Dendro. Despite the fact that the premise has remained simple throughout the novel, Sumeru will prove to be one of the most intricate countries yet.

Home Of The God Of Wisdom

In Genshin Impact, each nation revolves around its own Archon and heavenly ideal: freedom, order, eternity, and so forth. In Sumeru’s scenario, the God of Wisdom reigns supreme in the pursuit of all knowledge. As a result of this endeavor, the country has evolved into a civilization based on logic and wisdom, with the majority of the population active in the country’s intellectual affairs.

Furthermore, each nation favors a particular element from which the Archon is descended. Sumeru follows the Dendro Archon’s direction, whose powers provide life to the desert surrounding them. As a result, when players approach the country, they may expect a very floral and plant-like scene.

Sumeru Is Based On South Asia

Teyvat’s nation has real-world elements, which is one of the things that makes it so accessible. Mondstadt is modeled after Germany, Liyue is modeled after China, and Inazuma is modeled after Edo-period Japan. Sumeru, on the other hand, will be a melting pot of various South Asian and Middle Eastern elements.

Sumeru’s terrain, which is a combination of rainforests and deserts, will be heavily influenced by these ties. In addition, Zoroastrianism will have a significant impact on the region, particularly in the setting of the Sumeru Academia.

Sumeru’s Academia

Sumeru’s plot, like that of every other nation before it, will be driven by the actions of its principal institution. The Sumeru Academia will play a significant role in this scenario, with most of the nation’s NPC being researchers from the college.

Many famous persons in Sumeru came from the ranks of the Academia, particularly NPCs like Vahid and Alrani. Other characters in the novel have had their experiences with the institution, including Lisa from the Knights of Favonius and the Fatui Harbinger Dottore; both eventually departed owing to the organization’s paranoia, with Lisa being the most illustrious professor in the past two centuries.

Sumeru’s Relationship With The Cataclysm

There’s a lot of conjecture that Sumeru will be linked to the Cataclysm, one of two great ancient calamities that happened before the tale began. Fans of Genshin Impact believe that the previous Archon was responsible for the Cataclysm that destroyed Khaenri’ah.

While the nature of their relationship is unknown, the previous Archon of Sumeru was killed in the Cataclysm. However, it is unknown whether this slaughter was the cause of the event or if it was a result of the Cataclysm.

The Gilded Brigade

Even the Knights of Favonius in Mondstadt, the Millelith in Liyue, and the Doushin in Inazuma have a policing force to keep the peace in Genshin Impact’s Teyvat. These soldiers will most certainly be known in Sumeru as the Gilded Brigade, a group that appears to work both domestically and internationally.

Sumida has only mentioned the Gilded Brigade as a possible means of exploring Tsurumi Island for her novel thus far. The Gilded Brigade will most likely have similar skills to the Adventurers’ Guild, given the dangerous climate of the fog-covered island. However, given its name, the Brigade is likely to be more martial in nature.

The Sabzeruz Festival

So far, the Windblume Festival and the Lantern Rite Festival have provided Genshin Impact gamers with seasonal festivities in both Mondstadt and Liyue. And, while players in Inazuma wait for these kinds of celebrations, Sumeru already has one: the Sabzeruz Festival.

Sayid initially mentioned the Sabzeruz Festival during the Windblume Festival. Remarking that the Mondstadt Festival looked a lot like the one he remembered from Sumeru. The festival’s origins are unknown, however it was founded to commemorate the birth of the Lesser Lord Kusanali (who is believed to be the current Dendro Archon.)

Known Characters From Sumeru

From character ages to explanations of significant historical events, the manga is an excellent source of information. In addition to these facts, the Genshin Impact manga has been one of the most reliable sources of Sumeru information. For starters, the comic introduces two potentially significant Sumeru characters: Cyno and Collei.

Lisa from Mondstadt was summoned to Mondstadt to cope with Collei’s curse, and Cyno is her mentor. Given that he also appears in the Sumeru segment of the Travail trailers. Cyno is likely to be essential to the tale events in Sumeru. Collei, on the other hand, was a Fatui test subject in Sumeru who travelled to Mondstadt with a lethal curse. She opted to journey to Sumeru alongside Cyno after eliminating the curse; both characters are anticipated to feature in the Sumeru arc of Genshin Impact.
