Version 4.6 lays the groundwork for the conclusion of the regional story of the Hydro Nation as it gets ready to reveal the last extension of the Fontaine map. Though earlier indications depicted Natlan as a kingdom engulfed in war all the time with fabled dragons and hot springs more recent leaks have given fans a fuller understanding of the game’s lore.
Rumours have already started to spread among the Genshin Impact community about mounts possibly making their debut in Natlan. Uncle Teyvat and Team Mew have revealed further information which gives players more ideas about what to expect.
It is suggested that a taboo or curse is the reason why residents of Natlan are reluctant to travel outside of their borders which could explain Bennett’s run of paranormal bad luck. Natlan has mysterious hot springs known for their ability to heal both physically and spiritually despite the area being devastated by conflict. These springs are thought to be important to the Archon Quests which are symbolised by the main tune of Incandescent Ode to Resurrection.
It is also expected that within Natlan’s boundaries would be the mysterious Fatui led by Capitano in their quest for gnosis. First there will be a voyage over the Sumeru desert to reach Natlan establishing the epic nature of this adventure.
There are two strong opponents waiting for Genshin Impact players in Eastern Natlan. The saurians are draconic creatures who live in the region’s mines their fury is comparable to that of Liyue’s Geovishaps. Furthermore there will be new challenges for adventurers in the form of fire-breathing dragons who are scheduled to debut. Though specifics of any connections between Eastern Natlan and Genshin Impact figures such as Xbalanque or Iansan are yet unknown the region is populated by the Nazcayan people who are known for their prowess in gem appraisal and mining.
