A new Mute List and Term Filter will be requested by gamers in addition to the improved blacklist features. Players can mute up to 200 people using the Mute List, which hides their chat messages but leaves their character details visible.

Players now have more control over their gaming environment thanks to the Term Filter, which allows them to ban certain words and phrases from their game client. Gamers can expect a wide range of customisation options from modern tools like AMD FSR and Nvidia DLSS for upscaling to new antialiasing and soft shadow capabilities.

These improvements promise a visually beautiful journey by allowing players to customise their Final Fantasy 14 experience to suit their preferences. While everyone was excited about the graphical upgrades, Yoshida and Murouchi also revealed something shocking about the blacklist feature.

They recognised that there had been major changes made to this function and highlighted its importance to developing a positive gaming environment. To provide a more seamless gaming experience, the model of a character will disappear from view when they are added to a player’s blacklist.
