Fortnite officially turned five years old last month, and over the course, the game has been offering its players new skins and other cosmetics. This is the reason many players’ lockers are more than stuffed with cosmetics to pick from.

To reduce the scrolling, Epic Games has brought a new way for players to hide these cosmetics from their inventory. In this article, we will discuss archiving the skins and cosmetics in the game.

How to archive cosmetics?

First, players will have to switch to the Locker tab in Fortnite‘s main menu. From there, players need to select the cosmetic slot that they want to partially archive. Now, they need to hold the indicated button to open the archive menu, either the left thumbstick or Z, and then they need to select the items they want to archive.

When they are done with the process, they need to press X or click the “Archive (#) Items” button to hide the cosmetics. To unhide the cosmetics, players are required to go into the archive sub menu in the same cosmetic screen. When looking at the cosmetics, players need to press the right trigger or click “Sort + Filter” to open the categories menu.

Now, players should scroll to the bottom and click the “Archive” category on the bottom right side of the screen. Now, players need to hold the left thumbstick or Z to open the unarchive menu and select the skins to unhide from there.

Any skins or cosmetics that players hide will still appear if they are currently equipped or a part of any saved presets. That’s all players need to know about how to archive and unarchive skins and cosmetics in Fortnite.
