Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 and its Vibin theme has been apt for players to get over the war they came across in Season 2. The developers have now hinted towards a summer event as well and players already have very high expectations for it.

Summer events in Fortnite have mostly revolved around the Creative mode in the past. Loopers finish their quests in unique islands/LTMs (Limited time modes) to earn free cosmetic rewards. In this article, we will discuss what Chapter 3 Season 3 might bring for players.

Fortnite Season 3 summer event date

According to leaker Shiina, the Fortnite Season 3 summer event will kickoff on June 21 or June 28. The last three summer events started on June 24, June 30, and June 22 respectively. Epic Games recently tweeted that there are new quests in patch 21.10 and events to earn XP all summer.

This has confirmed that there will be a summer event but it also means that it will be introduced with the 21.10 or 21.20 update for Chapter 3 Season 3. Fortnite might unveil Surfboards and release new NPCs during the event.

The major reason behind Fortnite Chapter 3’s success is the studio’s take on the new content. From keeping the snow on the map intact to reviving Tilted Towers, the developers have surely followed the community’s feedback closely.

As for the summer event, loopers are expecting a proper Battle Royale summer event. So, players might get to see new summer-themed NPCs like Summer Drift, Beach Jules, Beach Bomber, and others.

Leaker Shiina also hopes that Surfboards will escape the vault. They were introduced to the game in 2019 but were made available rarely. Players are already liking Ballers’ comeback and the return of Surfboards will only make it better.

Besides new summer-themed content, the community can expect brand-new XP quests related to Surfboards. However, as of now, it is uncertain if these quests will be made available in Creative or Battle Royale.
